ADDING CLIENT TO ACTIVE DIRECTORY

Here we will practice the addition of new host or client computer to the domain base Network
where DHCP, DNS and AD is installed and working perfectly.
Client PC which is going to be member of domain network must be secure with local username and password.

Adding Client in Domain “abc.com”

Client is Win XP
Startà Control panelànetwork and internet connection ànetwork connectionà




Right click on local area connection then click properties




Click the properties





Click OK and restart the computer 

Changing the Name of Computer


Right Click on My Computerà Propertiesà Computer name 































Enter the computer name as Client  Computer  then click more



Enter primary DNS Suffix name as “abc.com ” then OK
Again OK on next page .message will prompt to enter Username and password
Enter the username and password of the administrator of server..



Enter the administrator password



Click OK




Restart to make changes effective
