Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol issues IP Addresses to
Client machines dynamically from designated pool of IP Address.
Assumptions
Server IP= 192.168.1.1
DNS IP= 192.168.1.1
Default Gateway is = 192.168.1.10
Name of the server= PC1
Domain Name (Zone name) = abc.com
IP Address Pool 192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.200
Click Add roles
Select DHCP Server
Click Next
then again Next
Enter domain name “abc.com” and validate then Click Next
WIN is not required in Server 2008 we will use WDS
Click ADD to create the scope
Enter the range of IP Address and Default gateway
Select Activate Scope
Click OK then Next
We are using IPv4. Disable the IPv6
Click Next
Summary of DHCP Sever then Click Install
